Sule Lamido University (SLU) in Kafin Hausa is eagerly inviting all candidates who selected the institution as their First Choice in pursuit of higher education for the 2023/2024 Academic Session. This invitation also extends to Direct Entry aspirants who regard SLU as their primary institution of choice. But most times Jamb students are likely favored than direct entry student because of the required number of students needed. Eligibility Criteria for SLU’s Post UTME & Direct Entry Candidates

For UTME Candidates:

  • Achieve a pass in a minimum of 5 pertinent subjects at the credit level in the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE) or its equivalent.
  • These subjects should be completed in a maximum of two sittings, with English Language and Mathematics being compulsory.

For Direct Entry Candidates:

  • Attain a minimum of Lower Credit in the National Diploma.
  • Secure a Merit status in the Nigerian Certificate in Education (NCE).
  • Get a minimum of 6 points in the Interim Joint Matriculation Board Examination (IJMBE) Advanced Level.

Moreover, UTME candidates who initially did not select Sule Lamido University Kafin Hausa but have a desire to study there and scored at least 140 in the 2023 UTME can modify their choice through the JAMB website. A detailed guide can be accessed here.

SLU Registration Procedure: A Step-By-Step Approach

REGISTRATION PROCEDURE

The registration procedure is as follows:

  1. Photo Upload: Students must firs upload their recent passport size photograph.
  2. Profile Update: After photo upload, students must then update their profile. Note that students are strongly advised to update their phone numbers and emails as they are used on their SLU Personalised Payment Form (SLUPPF).
  3. Student Information Form (S.I.F.): After profile update students can generate and download/print their Student Information Form (SIF).
  4. TSHIP Fee Payment: After profile update students can generate and download/print payment schedule for the TSHIP Fee of N2000. Please note that TSHIP Fee is compulsory for all students and must be paid before continuing with the registration process.
  5. Medical Examination Form:: After profile update new students are to generate and download/print payment schedule for the Medical Examination. After a successful payment, students can generate and print the Medical Examination Form.
  6. SLU Personalised Payment Form (SLUPPF): Students must generate, download and print a SLU Personalised Payment Form (SLUPPF). Registration fees are reflected on student’s SLUPPF, to be paid using Remita e-Payments and e-Collection platform. Make sure you carefully read, understand and follow the payment procedure, as SLU will not be liable for any lost of funds as a result of incorrect data entry. NOTE THAT ALL FEES ARE NOT REFUNDABLE AFTER PAYMENT
  7. Hostel Processing: After payment is validated and processed, interested student can apply for Hostel.
  8. Student Payment Receipt (S.P.R.): After payment is validated and processed, students must generated and download/print Student Payment Receipt (SPR) in order to continue with the registration.
  9. Course Registration: After printing the SPR, a student can register his/her courses. Students are strongly advised to seek the guidance of their respective level coordinators on the courses they are supposed to register with any limitations and/or restrictions.
  10. Course Registration Form (C.R.F.): After course registration students must generate and download/print the Course Registration Form (CRF). The CRF contains the details of the registered courses.
  11. Finalising Registration: Is mandatory and part of the registration exercise to contact your level coordinator before starting your course registration and after for cross checking and validation of your registration. Application Timeline

Registration begins on Monday, 11th September 2023 and concludes at midnight on Sunday, 24th September 2023.

Application Procedure

Payment: A mandatory fee of ₦2,000.00 (exclusive of REMITA charges) for the Post-UTME/DE Screening is required. Payment can be made through any commercial bank, debit card, or via the Remita website.

Important Notes

  • For any modifications concerning institution or programme choices using the JAMB Green Card, candidates should effect these changes within the designated registration window: 11th September to 24th September 2023.
  • Any candidate failing to register during the prescribed period will not be considered for the 2023/2024 academic session.
