Plateau State University, Bokkos (PLASU), is now officially commencing the sales of application forms for their Post UTME and Direct Entry Screening exercises aimed at prospective undergraduates for the 2022/2023 and 2023/2024 academic sessions. The university management has issued a formal announcement to inform candidates who have applied for admission through the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board’s Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (JAMB UTME) and Direct Entry (DE) in the years 2022 and 2023. Specifically, the online Post UTME and Direct Entry Screening exercises will be conducted from Wednesday, 30th August 2023 to Thursday, 14th September 2023.

Eligibility Criteria for PLASU Post UTME Screening Exercise

Target Candidates

The screening exercise is targeted at the following groups of candidates:

  • Candidates who chose Plateau State University, Bokkos as their first choice and scored 170 and above in the 2022 JAMB UTME.
  • Candidates who chose Plateau State University, Bokkos as their first choice and scored 160 and above in the 2023 JAMB UTME.
  • Candidates who selected Plateau State University as their first choice in the 2022 and 2023 JAMB Direct Entry applications and possess any of the following qualifications: Degrees, Higher National Diploma (HND), National Diploma (ND) (with a minimum of Lower Credit), and IJMB (with a minimum of 7 points).

Guidelines for Applying for PLASU Post UTME

Online Application Procedure

The screening exercise will be performed online. To apply, candidates must adhere to the following steps:

  1. Navigate to the University Portal: Visit PLASU’s application portal.
  2. Select the Relevant Application Form: From the menu options, click “UTME/DE APPLICATION”.
  3. JAMB Verification: Input your JAMB Registration Number to verify your details.
  4. Email and Password: Enter a valid email address and a secure password, and confirm the password.
  5. Email Confirmation: A confirmation link will be dispatched to your email address. Click on this link to log in and continue the application process.

Payment and Further Steps

  1. Generate RRR Number: Click the button “Click to make payment”, and a Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) will be generated.
  2. Payment Method: For card payment, click “Proceed To Payment”. For cash payment, copy the RRR number and proceed to any nearby bank.
  3. Screening Fee: Pay a non-refundable fee of Two Thousand Naira (N2,000.00).
  4. Upload Documents: Upload a recent passport photograph (maximum file size of 150kb, file types allowed: png, jpg, jpeg).
  5. Academic Records: Submit your best five O-Level subjects and grades as specified in the JAMB brochure for PLASU.

Direct Entry Screening Payment and Registration

The procedure for Direct Entry candidates is similar to the above, with the additional step of filling in academic qualifications.
